My personal experience outside of real estate includes a career as an Executive Secretary working in a very professional and fast moving environment in Stillwater. I understand the varying degrees of business, time and motivation. I try hard to understand my client’s needs and buyer's criteria and find the properties that meet their needs or buyer’s that are looking for what my seller has. Technology is here to stay. We work with the Internet and all the communication tools that are available. I am EPro Certified - again focusing on keeping current with technology and utilizing the best means to get your property noticed by the buying public!

I know the economy has given us all a challenge over the last couple of years - but people are buying and people are selling. Both buyers and sellers have become market savvy. I see sellers adjusting prices to meet the current market and buyers appreciating the value of appropriately price properties. The market needed to adjust and I think it is there!

I have been selling real estate in the Mille Lacs area since 1994. I have had my Broker's license for many years. I moved to the Mille Lacs area in 1992 and started a small retail business in the Malmo area. After visiting with my customers and hearing about selling of homes and cabins, I decided to give real estate a try. I found my niche' in life! I have been listing and selling real estate ever since. It has been extremely rewarding and I have been very successful. Because I love what I'm doing, I feel I bring a lot to my clients. I am very knowledgeable about, and very experienced in, the area.

After building a small business and eleven years later selling a good business, I am ready to start a new venture with my partner, Becky Sandelands, where we can treat our customers and clients to our local and personalized service using all the new technology available to the business.

My name is Laurie Simonson and I live and work in the Mille Lacs Lake area. I grew up in the Twin Cities and have been living "up north" in the Mille Lacs area since 1995 and I absolutely love it. I have 3 school age children and our family takes full advantage of the bountiful amenities our greater lakes area has to offer including hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and of course hunting. Prior to real estate, I worked for 15+ years in various client service/client management roles in both the brokerage and then retirement planning industries.
